The aesthetics and ethics of human experience are one consequence of self-knowledge in Buddhism, one resulting from the perfect, timeless unification of one's conventionally existing self with Prajna, the (non)inherent nature of everyone, everything and all existence, wherein the pinnacle of human experience is not dependent on an afterlife, but pure consciousness in the present life itself (nirvana).
Ulterior Romanticism explores new paradigms for imagining the changing relationship between architectural space, tectonic elements, peak human experiences, and time.
The proposition is for a sacred space for the very distant future, on a site that will remain uninhabitable by human beings for the next 12,000 years (Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site).
Speculating on how our relationship to architectural objects and our experience of architectural space change over the very long term, as the nature of human perception evolves and is inevitably transformed.
I believe that we will eventually come to know an ultimate reality (Prajñā) through (Satori/Samadhi) that is much broader than the one we currently experience. We will be liberated from Plato’s cave and come to perceive reality in a fundamentally different, fundamentally expanded way. This connotes Prana which is the ”life force” that permeates reality on all levels including ”inanimate objects”. We will lose our bodies. Death will be understood as a process. The distinction between subject and object – between “us” and the space we inhabit – will collapse. “We” will consciously experience being one with the “fundamental architecture” (the true reality of God). The design is meant to facilitate the ascension man by letting to go of duality.

Prajñā or paññā connotes the highest Universal Principle, the Ultimate Reality in the universe. In major schools of Buddhist philosophy, it is the material, efficient, formal and final cause of all that exists. It is the pervasive, genderless, infinite, eternal truth and bliss which does not change, yet is the cause of all changes. Prajna as a metaphysical concept is the single binding unity behind diversity in all that exists in the universe.
Prajna is about realizing the Anatman (no-soul/no-self) in every human being (and non-living being) are considered equivalent. They are the sole reality, the eternal, self-born, unlimited, innately free and blissful Absolute.
Samadhi is oneness with the object of meditation. There is no distinction between the act of meditation and the object of meditation. Samadhi is of two kinds, with and without support of an object of meditation: Samprajnata Samadhi, also called savikalpa samadhi and Sabija Samadhi, meditation with support of an object.
It can be described as the perfect union of the individualized conventionally perceived self with emptiness. A state of oneness; complete absorption.
Samadhi, “to direct together,” is the state in which a yogi or any sentient being perceives his or her on conventional existence (samsara) atemporaly with emptiness (true nature of all things/nirvana). It is an experience of divine ecstasy as well as of superconscious perception; the self is lost and perceives the entire universe as a dependently arisen state of existence and as impermanent. One realizes that the self is non-existent from the ultimate standpoint, in other words one attains complete awareness of conventional reality without any perspective thus understanding its emptiness. The self realizes that it is much more than the conditioned body. Christian saints have previously described this experience as “mystical marriage,” in which the soul merges into God and becomes one with “Him”.
Although human consciousness is subject to relativity and dual experience, samadhi is the state in which experience is whole, infinite, and single. It is the eighth and final step on the path of yoga described by Patanjali. Samadhi may be attained through deep, continuous, and correct meditation. In this state, the three aspects of meditation — meditator, act of meditation, the object of meditation known as God — are finally united. Just as the wave melts into the sea, so too the human soul becomes one with the supreme spirit.

The greatest love that can be embodied in human form is OMNI-LOVE.
